Lincoln Families,
I hope you enjoyed the weekend and the balmy weather, despite the snow that is forecast for tonight, it was nice to be above twenty degrees!
Spring conferences are this week. All conferences will be held via Zoom. It’s not to late to sign up for a time to meet with your child’s teacher using the attached information for conference instructions.
Additionally, please note there will be no school on Friday, February 26. Please also note that on the original D90 School calendar, students and staff were off school on Monday, March 1 in observance of Pulaski Day. However, due to calendar adjustments, classes will resume on Monday, March 1 after the three day conference weekend.
In the event your family will be traveling outside of Illinois during the upcoming long weekend, please be sure to comply with the updated Travel/Quarantine Guidance recently released by the Cook County Health Department. The foundation of safely re-opening our schools is keeping our students safe. Therefore, if you are traveling, please comply with this guidance and do your part to keep our kids safe and schools open. Thank you for your continued compliance with this guidance and keeping our kids safe.
Each year, we ask your family to participate in the Illinois 5Essentials Survey. Again this year, District 90 will participate in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials survey that is designed to generate a comprehensive picture of the inner workings of our schools. Teachers, parents, and students will be able to share their insights and perceptions about our schools as we develop school improvement plans. Students in grades 4-8, teachers, and parents/guardians will be able to participate in this online and confidential survey that is based on 20 years of research at the University of Chicago. The survey will be open for participation until April 2, 2021. To participate in the 5Essentials Survey, please click this link: Illinois 5Essentials Survey.
Please continue to support our students, staff, and volunteers through our Lincoln Love campaign. Showing kindness and appreciation are more important now than ever! Click here to send your Lincoln Love.
As always, thank you for your support of Lincoln. Please don’t ever hesitate to reach out if there is anything more I can do to support your family.
Enjoy the warm up this week. CG
