Mission Statement

Each year, the Lincoln PTO works through an amazing group of volunteers to support Lincoln and its students:

• To enhance and enrich the learning environment
• To offer fun and educational opportunities for the family
• To model and encourage community service
• To provide exposure to areas outside the curriculum

Activities

The PTO actively supports and enhances the education of River Forest School District 90’s students. We function as a channel for communication between home and school. The PTO conceives, develops, funds and executes the following programs:

• Instructional Activities: Art Appreciation, Authors and Assemblies, Bike Safety Workshop, Field Trips, Lincoln PTO World Languages, Newspaper
• Extracurricular Activities: After School Sports, Chess Club, Family Math Night, Girls On The Run, HEROBoys, Science Expo, Theater Club (3rd & 4th Grade)
• Fundraising: Auction, Book Fair, Free Fundraising, Fun Lunch, Pancake Breakfast and 5K, Picture Day, Pre-Packaged School Supplies, Spirit Wear, Webstore
• Community: Lincoln Community Communications/Website, Connect 4 Kids, Green4Good, Heart Works, Lunchtime Leaders
• Social: Field Day, Fourth Grade Activities, Ice Cream Social, Principal Birthday Lunch, Yearbook
• Hospitality: Lincoln New Family Welcome, Room Parent Coordinator, Sign-up Genius, Staff Hospitality

In addition, the Lincoln PTO provided the following improvements over the past few years: new playground equipment, smart boards for the classrooms, updates to the Teacher’s Lounge, teacher requested classroom furniture and materials.
