2/16 Lincoln Log

Lincoln Families,

I hope you and your family kept safe and warm during the frigid and snowy President’s Day weekend.  Fortunately, it looks like we might reach twenty degrees within the next few days!

In the event your family traveled outside of Illinois over the long weekend, please be sure to comply with the  updated Travel/Quarantine Guidance recently released by the Cook County Health Department. Thank you for your continued compliance with this guidance and keeping our kids safe.

Each year we ask your family to participate in the Illinois 5Essentials Survey. Again this year, District 90 will participate in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials survey that is designed to generate a comprehensive picture of the inner workings of our schools. Teachers, parents, and students will be able to share their insights and perceptions about our schools as we develop school improvement plans. Students in grades 4-8, teachers, and parents/guardians will be able to participate in this online and confidential survey that is based on 20 years of research at the University of Chicago. The survey will be open for participation until April 2, 2021.To participate in the 5Essentials Survey, please click this link: Illinois 5Essentials Survey.

Spring conferences are next week. Conferences will again be held virtually. Don’t forget to sign up for a time to meet with your child’s teacher using the attached information for Conference Instructions.

As always, thanks for your continued support of Lincoln. Please reach out if there is ever anything more I can do to support your family. Have a great week. CG
