New Parent Welcome at 7:00pm in the Lincoln Auditorium.

Back to School Coffee from 8:15 to 9:30am on the Park Side Playground

THURSDAY, August 27th:

Back to School Family Picnic from 5:30 to 7:00pm on the Franklin Playground Join us for this inaugural event!  Meet the families in your child’s class, welcome new families and meet our new principal, Casey Godfrey.  Bring your blanket and dinner; the PTO will provide lemonade and popsicles.  Hope to see you there!

FRIDAY, August 28th:

Free Fun Lunch for All! The first Fun Lunch of the school year will be a free slice of Domino’s Pizza, courtesy of the Lincoln PTO.  There is a one large slice per student limit, so please pack something extra for your extra hungry kids!

Important Registration Information:

The following PTO sponsored activities are available and can be ordered on the PTO Web Store.  Student ID numbers (issued by D90), teacher names, and a credit card are required.

Fun Lunch for grades 1 – 4:  The PTO serves 4 different rotating meals, on Fridays (or the occasional Thursday if there’s no school on Friday).  Order all 4, or just the menus you want.  See all menu choices and prices on the PTO Web Store. There are two options for ordering:  order Full Year Fun Lunch, or just Fall Fun Lunch (meals through December, & then order again in January). Fun Lunch is the PTO’s biggest fundraiser–give yourself a break from packing lunches once a week!   The Deadline to order Fun Lunch is Friday 8/28.

FLIP / Foreign Language Introductory Program  for grades 1 – 4:  Students have the option to learn Spanish, French, Italian or Chinese.  Classes are held before, after or during lunch recess.  See the Web Store for more details.  FLIP starts the week of Sept. 14th.  The Deadline to register for FLIP is Friday 9/11.  

PTO Activity Fee  The Lincoln PTO thrives on adding value in support of our children’s education and the teachers and staff who are their guides through this journey. Our success is contingent upon your contribution.  Please help support our efforts with this $25 donation, available on the PTO Web Store. Your funds help provide classroom supplies and technology, support student clubs, field trips and special family events, and so much more.  Thank you!

Second Grade Only:  The PTO sponsors Harmonica lessons for all second grade students during the school day.  We pay for the teacher, and ask parents to pay for the harmonica.  Please add this $10 fee to your shopping basket on the PTO Web Store.  Thank you.

Fourth Grade Only:  The PTO sponsors two different service groups, (Heartworks and Lunchtime Leaders) and organizes several year-end items, including a breakfast, a commemorative DVD and T-shirt for 4th Graders.  There is a special $20 PTO Activity Fee for 4th grade.  Please add this fee to your shopping basket on the PTO Web Store.   There is no additional cost to sign up for Heartworks and Lunchtime Leaders–which you can do on the PTO Web Store now.   Interested in helping with 4th grade events?  Please contact Tammy Travis “tamara_irwin AT yahoo.com” for more information.   Thank you!

We Have the Right Volunteer Opportunity for You!

Whether you work full time or from home, we have volunteer opportunities to fit your life and schedule. Come take a look on our Sign Up Genius volunteer page to see how you can best contribute your time to your child’s school. We need room parents, fun lunch volunteers, book fair helpers, pancake flippers, and even silent auction sales experts. Volunteer for a one day commitment, or regularly throughout the year. You can work from home, in the classroom, or in the evening. Take a look – we’d love your help! We also have some PTO positions to fill:

• Pasta Fun Lunch co-chair
• Web Store co-chair
• Free Fundraisers (Box Tops, Panera & Lou Malnati’s nights)
• Volunteer Coordinator/Sign Up Genius co-chair

We try to have 2 volunteers for every PTO Position, so “co-chair” means you already have a partner for this job.
