Lincoln School Families,
Welcome back to Lincoln! I hope this message finds you enjoying every moment of these fading summer days. It’s hard to believe in less than two weeks your kids will return to Lincoln once again and bring our Fine, Fine School back to life. Like every summer, this one seemed to go by exceptionally fast. As the summer days draw to a close, I am hopeful that you and your family are able to capitalize on some quality time together before the school year kicks off. On behalf of everyone here at Lincoln School, we are anxious to welcome your family for the excitement of the first day of school on Thursday, August 23rd.
On Tuesday afternoon, August 14, your child’s 2018-19 class assignment will be emailed to your family’s primary email address. Please keep in mind that hours of preparation, discussion, and perhaps a few sleepless nights go into the creation of class lists and the various other intricacies of preparing for the start of school. The overall objective when creating these lists is to ensure that all students are placed in the best possible learning environment to meet their social, emotional, and academic needs. The input so many of you provided about your children in the spring was helpful in this time-consuming process.
In addition to 50 new kindergartners and over 30 new families, we are also excited to welcome several new staff members to the Lincoln family this year:
I know you will find them to be amazing assets to our already Fine, Fine Faculty! Below is a breakdown of grade level teaching assignments for 2018-19:
The beginning of a new school year always brings with it great excitement and optimism. There is something infectious about a clean school, new clothes, new faces, and the energy surrounding the beginning of a new year. Through positive collaboration and open channels of communication, we can carry this same excitement through the entire school year. Please know that my door is always open and welcoming of your feedback and support.
I couldn’t be more excited to embark upon year four with the staff, kids, and families at our Fine, Fine School!
Please tell your kids Mr. Davis and I say hello and can’t wait to see them soon!
All my best – CG
