Lincoln Families,
Happy May! I hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed the sunshine after the wet gloomy weather last week.
This week is national Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week. It’s been said, “A teacher affects eternity; they can never tell where their influence stops.” At Lincoln, we are so fortunate to have such Fine Fine teachers and staff who arrive here each day with the common goal of making a positive impression on your child’s life and the entire community of River Forest. Please take a moment this week to send a note, email or phone call of appreciation to our teachers. The PTO has a wonderful week planned but there is no such thing as “too much,” appreciation for our teachers and staff!
Thank you to everyone who took the time to come out and celebrate our first Fine Arts Festival. What an amazing night it was! Infinite thanks to Mrs. Kozbur and Mrs. Halter for the countless hours spent preparing our kids and our school for this incredible event for our family! There is already buzz circulating for next year! Thank you for coming and supporting this event.
Registration for the 2019-20 school year is set to open May 8, 2019. In order to improve our online registration process, District 90 is now partnering with the Ecollect/Accela School Adaptive Data Management System. Ecollect is a data collection system that resides within PowerSchool, which is the District’s student information management system. All District 90 registration forms are now embedded within the Ecollect system and will be accessible to you via the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Once you open your PowerSchool Parent Portal, all of the required registration forms will be available on the left-hand navigation bar. Don’t have a PowerSchool account? No problem! We have created two documents to help. These documents can be found on our website on our Registration page, and they will also be sent to you in a separate email from the district.
Finally, I look forward to celebrating the May Lincoln birthdays at the May Principal Birthday Lunch on Thursday.
Thanks in advance for taking the time this week to celebrate our teachers and staff. Your continued support of our Fine Fine School is appreciated more than you know. Please never hesitate to reach out if there is anything more I can do to support your family. Have a great week. CG
