Can you help a new Lincoln Family this year?

The PTO’s Lincoln Links committee is looking for established families to partner with new families and give them the scoop about our special events, things they shouldn’t miss (like PTO Newsletters, winter concerts & school supply orders), and answer any questions they have throughout their first year.

The goal is to pair families with students in the same grades…details are on Sign Up Genius.  Please sign up here to give our new families a warm welcome!

Shopping for Groceries ?

Our Fall Food Drive is coming soon…October 20 -24th.

Please remember our neighbors in need by contributing to the Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry.  The Trader Joe bags will be sent home next week.

The Character Theme for October is RESPONSIBILITY!

Being responsible means that we do the right thing even when no one is looking.  We do the right thing just because it is right and not because we will get credit or praise for doing it.   If you see your child making a choice that does not appear responsible (e.g. leaving garbage around, saying something irritating to a person, interrupting others, etc.), a good way to begin the discussion is, “What if everybody did that?”  This discussion will help our child continue to develop the perspective-taking skills that we reinforce every day at Lincoln.

Do you want to announce your school-related event?

Please submit requests to “lincolnPTOcommunications AT gmail.com” by midnight on Monday for the weekly newsletter.
