LINCOLN’S PANCAKE BREAKFAST–Did you order your tickets yet?  Advance ticket sales close at 6pm tomorrow!

Maple Syrup on Pancakes

 Join us this Saturday, October 26th, 8:00 to 11:00 am

in the Gym.  Please enter through the Franklin doors.

Advance Tickets are just $3.50 per person and include pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice and coffee.  Buying tickets in advance helps us order the right amount of food, and it saves you money–tickets at the door are $4.00.  Click here to order tickets.

Can you lend a hand?  We still need help flipping pancakes!  Fourth Graders are encouraged to sign up too; please click here to see who’s helping and pick a time slot with your friends!   Thank you, we really appreciate it.

 

HEARTWORKS FALL FOOD DRIVE:  Oct. 21-25th

Friday is the last day to drop off donations for our  Fall Food Drive!  Your generous donations benefit local families at the Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry.  Fill up your shopping bags with non-perishable food items such as pasta, sauces, tuna, rice, cereals and canned fruits and vegetables. Also needed are personal hygiene items:  soaps, deodorants, shampoos, diapers, toothpaste, toothbrushes. Please donate items in original packaging.  Donations can be left in the Park Avenue Lobby.  Thank you!

The new Girl Scouts Daisy Troop for Kindergarten is hosting a parent meeting to hand out uniforms tonight, Thursday, 10/24 from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Lincoln Gymnasium.  It’s not too late to join! Please contact Lurana: “luranajbrown AT yahoo.com”.

 

Math Night 2

   Thanks to all who attended Family Math Night last Thursday.   The gym was full, and it was great to have so many volunteers!   Special thanks to Annie Darley, Cindy Mastbrook, and Katie Iammartino for organizing this event.

We’re getting ready for the Lincoln Book Fair!  This fundraiser will be held in the Lincoln library November 19th through the 22nd.  Volunteers are needed for the whole week, including set up on Monday 11/18.  Can you help us?  Please see time slots and job descriptions  here.  Thank you!

Please join us for the Costume Parade at 8:30 on the Franklin playground and remember there is early dismissal at 11:25 am.  Trick-or-Treat hours in River Forest are 3:00pm – 7:00pm.

 

Every Wednesday is Waste Free Wednesday!  Green4Good Volunteers will give out hand stamps to all kids who bring a waste-free lunch. For tips on packing a waste-free lunch go to the District 90 website and click on the “Zero-Waste Lunch Tips” flyer.

Would you like an opportunity to volunteer for one hour and see your child during a regular school day?  We need parent volunteers to come in on Wednesdays during the lunch hour (11:25-12:25).  Don’t know much about packing a zero-waste lunch?  Don’t worry.  We’ll give you a brief training so you’ll be an expert!  Please Click here to sign up.  Lincoln School and the Earth appreciate it!  Thank you.
