Commemorative Video for 4th Graders: Pictures Needed
A video will be shown at the 4th grade breakfast on the morning of June 8. The video will contain pictures of the 4th graders through their years at Lincoln School. So grab a box of tissues and scroll through your old photos. Please begin to gather a variety of photos of your child commemorating all of their years at Lincoln, grades K through 4. We suggest photos from school events, school concerts, class parties, field trips, PTO events, back to school pictures, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, other clubs, youth sports teams, pictures with good Lincoln buddies, etc. Photos can be submitted to the PTO dropbox via this link. Please contact Amy Prestes (amy.prestes@gmail.com) with any questions.
Much thanks to Kristin Bailitz and all the coaches, and congratulations to all the girls who participated in the race!
Lincoln third and fourth grade girls who participate in Girls on the Run perform a community impact project every year. This year, our marvelous group of girls has decided to help the children and families at the Ronald McDonald House by making goodie bags. We could use some help from the Lincoln community to collect specific items:
*paper napkins
*paper plates
*plastic silverware
*gallon size Ziplock bags
*individual bottles of hand soap
*Kleenex
*travel-sized toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap
Boxes will be placed in the Lincoln main lobby for collection of any donations. Please have your donations delivered to school by Monday, May 21.
Thanks in advance for your support and generosity!
The Lincoln Wonder Writers will be celebrating a year of writing on Friday, May 25, at 7:30am in the Multi-Purpose Room. Please join us for coffee as we share the work of our remarkable writers.
As the year comes to a close, please return all library books by Tuesday, May 29th (the Tuesday after Memorial Day).
If you cannot find a book, please send in payment for the amount of the book (located on the Friday overdue book email). If you find the book after submitting payment, I will happily return your money. We would definitely prefer to have the book!
If you have any questions about a book, please contact Mrs. Brauweiler directly.
Thank you for all your help in returning all books (or payment) by May 29th. We really appreciate it.

Sundaes are $2.50 each and all proceeds benefit the Lincoln PTO.
Ice cream is vanilla and there will be a sorbet option for any with dairy allergies.

Lincoln Field Day will take place on the last day of school, Friday, June 8, starting at 11:00am. It’s a fun afternoon that kicks off with a family picnic on the Lincoln playground. Parents bring a blanket and a picnic lunch for their family. Although many parents attend, kids sit in class groups and will not feel left out if a parent cannot be there. Specific spots are mapped out for each classroom on the Franklin Lawn.
The Fourth Grade Maypole and Drumming presentation is immediately after lunch. Then it’s time for the games! Parents are welcome to stay and help run the games, or can collect their kids at the end of the school day.
Here is the schedule:
11-11:35am: Family picnic, 1st-4th, Franklin playground
11:35-12:00pm: 4th grade maypole and drumming performance
12-2pm: Field Day, 1st-4th
2:25pm: 4th grade clap-out, Franklin entrance
2:30pm: Dismissal
There are still PTO positions available for the 2018-2019 school year – please contact Suzanne D’Agostino (suzanne.dagostino@gmail.com) or Amy Prestes (amy.prestes@gmail.com) if you’d like to get involved. Areas where help is needed:
The mission of the PTO is to support and enhance the education of the children at Lincoln School. But without input, ideas and support from the families at Lincoln, fulfilling this mission is not possible. There is a lot you can do for the PTO and for Lincoln School whether you are a working parent or a stay at home parent. Volunteer opportunities are available for events taking place at school during the week or on weekends. And opportunities are available for you to work from the comfort of your own home while younger children nap. Thank you for your continued support of the Lincoln PTO!
Please remember during cold and flu season to keep your child home if they are sick. If they have a fever they need to be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication before they can return to school. If they are vomiting and/or have diarrhea, make sure it has been at least 24 hours since the last episode before returning to school. If your child has an excessively runny nose or cannot stop coughing, it may be a good idea to keep them home. This is to protect your child from catching something if their immune system is down, as well as to protect the other students and staff. Thank you for doing your part to keep everyone at Lincoln School healthy.
When reporting your child’s absence please be sure to either use the district attendance e-mail or telephone extension:
