Happy Halloween!

Reminder: Due to the wet weather, our Halloween parade will not be outside this year! Parents who would like to see the parade may come into the building and go to the auditorium first, and if the seats are filled, parents can go to the gym. The children will parade through the auditorium first, and then into the gym. They will then go right back to their classrooms.

Remember! There is early dismissal at 11:25 today!

Trick-or-Treat hours in River Forest are 3:00pm – 7:00pm.

FUN LUNCH

Fun lunch for Friday, Oct. 31st is CHICKEN TENDERS from FatDuck Grill, 7218 Madison Street in Forest Park. Thank you, FatDuck and Fun Lunch Volunteers!

Maple Syrup on PancakesThanks to all who attended the Pancake Breakfast last Saturday.  The pancakes were delicious and fun was had by all. This was the fourth year that Nick and Susan Altier ran this event and they deserve a big round of applause.

A special thank you to all of the attendees, Superintendent Condon, Principal Hyde, Lincoln staff, parent and 4th Grade volunteers that were a part of a very fun and successful Pancake Breakfast last Saturday! Good times and good food were served-up to over 475 people thanks to all the great work of the volunteers, and these very generous local businesses:
The yummy breads were baked and donated by Angie Montroy, Lincoln mom and owner of Angie’s Pantry, Inc.
The delicious fruit was donated by Frank Ingraffia – Super Low Foods at 7411 Grand Avenue in Elmwood Park

Green4Good

Every Wednesday is Waste Free Wednesday!  Green4Good Volunteers will give out hand stamps to all kids who bring a waste-free lunch. For tips on packing a waste-free lunch go to the District 90 website and click on the “Zero-Waste Lunch Tips” flyer.

Would you like an opportunity to volunteer for one hour and see your child during a regular school day?  We need parent volunteers to come in on Wednesdays during the lunch hour (11:25-12:25).  Don’t know much about packing a zero-waste lunch?  Don’t worry.  We’ll give you a brief training so you’ll be an expert!  Please Click here to sign up.  Lincoln School and the Earth appreciate it!  Thank you.
