How can you make a difference in your child’s community next year?
The Lincoln PTO is looking for volunteers for the 2014/15 school year. We are fortunate to have a history of dedicated parents with diverse talents and interests on the PTO, and we need your ideas and expertise for next year.
Regardless of your schedule, there are rewarding and time flexible PTO opportunities. Whether you can volunteer for a couple of hours or would like to chair a committee, we would love to have you help. Many parents initially join the PTO when they are new to the community and find that it’s a great way to make lasting friendships while contributing to their children’s school. Each year we begin with a new executive board and committee members and we promise you’ll have lots of fun as you help make Lincoln an outstanding place for students, teachers and families.
If you are interested in chairing or participating in a PTO committee, please take a glance at the list below that highlights a few of the areas where we need people for next year. You can also email us at njselza@comcast.net if you have any questions or want to talk in more detail about where the PTO could best use your time and talents.

Fundraising-We swear this committee really does put the FUN in FUNdraising
This committee organizes and oversees all of our fundraising efforts. We have a couple of bigger events like the Auction, Fun Lunch and Book Sale and then some smaller fundraisers through partnerships with local businesses, gift cards, etc.
Yearbook-‘The Days Are Long But the Years Are Short.’ Please Help Us Capture it.
The PTO sponsors a Yearbook each year. The yearbook features candid class pictures as well as pictures taken throughout the year at the various school functions and activities. Responsibilities include coordinating volunteers to gather and organize class pictures, event photos, dedications, etc. Working with the publisher to compile yearbook for publishing, and organizing sale and delivery of yearbook.
Spirit Wear– Keep our little Lincoln Eagles stylish as they show school spirit in red, white and blue.
Verify orders and light record keeping. Give monies received to Treasurer for deposit. Send orders to vendor. Distribute orders to classes/students. Setup order pickup times and volunteers for order distribution at a couple of school events throughout the year.
Hospitality- If you like making people smile then this is the committee for you.
On an ongoing basis we as an organization feel it is important to thank our teachers, administration, school staff, and community members who help make Lincoln the incredible place that it is. This committee organizes teacher and staff appreciation efforts and other activities to welcome new families and show appreciation throughout the extended Lincoln community.
