Welcome to the homestretch of the school year. As expected it’s been a fast and exciting week here at Lincoln. With tomorrow’s 4th grade breakfast, 3rd grade recorder concert, field day and our inaugural clap out, it looks to be a busy day!

I look forward to seeing you and celebrating a Blue Ribbon year with each of you. Again, I am humbled by your kindness, encouragement and embracing support during my first year here at Lincoln. I love our school and your kids! I’ll be around over the summer, so please reach out if there is anything I can help with. Happy Summer!

Friday’s Schedule of Special Events

** Please be sure students come to school with a labeled water bottle for Field Day. **

• 7:30-8:15 am Breakfast and slideshow for 4th graders and their parents
• 11:00 am – 3rd grade Recorder Concert
• 11:25  Picnic on the Franklin playground for all to be followed by Maypole and drum circle for 4th graders
• 12:25 – 2:45 FIELD DAY for grades 1 – 4
• 3:00 – 4th Grade CLAP OUT  (outside Franklin Doors)
• 3:10 final dismissal for the year  (Please be sure your students are aware of where you will meet them at the end of the day).

Earbuds Required for All Students Next Year

All Lincoln students will be required to bring earbuds to school next year.  The Second Grade Supply List already had this requirement, so parents who ordered the PTO’s convenient SchoolKidz Kits for their Second Graders will have earbuds included.

All other grade SchoolKidz Supply Kits will NOT include earbuds, but your student will need them.  Please keep this in mind as you shop over the summer.

If you are purchasing school supplies on your own, earbuds are listed on the Lincoln School Supply List on the D90 website.   Remember that your Amazon Smile orders benefit our PTO!

A Hearty Thank You from Our PTO

Thank you to all who participated in the Bertollis’ Dine & Share last week, as well as those who got the last of their Box Tops turned in this week.  We really appreciate your participation in these final fundraisers for 2015-2016.

If you can spare a few minutes, please consider completing the PTO Survey by June 5th to share your feedback on this year’s PTO programming and any ideas you have for the future.

We feel humbled and honored to have worked with so many energetic and dedicated volunteers, faculty members and administrators toward the common goal of enriching the Lincoln experience.  Together we have witnessed the ideas of children, parents and staff members grow into new realities and resources for the Lincoln community.  Thank you, thank you for your generosity with your time, talent and treasure. Whether at fun lunch, in the classroom, or at special events, it is a joy to behold what has been accomplished through teamwork and a shared goal.

2016-2017 School Registration

A special reminder from D90 to get all students registered before leaving for summer vacation…

• If you have not yet received the email invitation to register, please contact Ribaudoj@district90.org
• Residency Requirements:  Please upload a copy of the 2015 real estate tax bill (or 2015 Lease) as part of the registration process, or drop off a copy at the District 90 Office.
• Pay school fees before June 15th to take advantage of the Early Bird Discount (via District 90 Web Pay, click on “District Store / D90 Fees”).
