***ATTENTION LINCOLN 4TH GRADERS***

Are you interested in getting more involved in school this year?   Do you enjoy helping people?

If so, we have an answer for you – LUNCHTIME LEADERS or HEARTWORKS or BOTH (why not?).   The deadline to sign up is TOMORROW–Friday 9/19 !

Heartworks is a community service group for 4th graders that will engage in activities designed to:

• heighten awareness of the needs of others in the Lincoln community, as well as the needs of those around the world.
• create an environment where service becomes a natural part of students’ everyday lives.
• provide opportunities for leadership.

Heartworks current schedule:

Tues. 9/23 – 3:15-4:15 – Introductory Meeting at Lincoln

Tues. 10/7 – 3:15-4:15 – Meeting at Lincoln/Make signs for Fall Food Drive 

Friday 10/24 – 3:15 – Deliver Food Drive Donations

Tues. 11/18 – 3:15-4:15 – Meeting at Lincoln/Make signs for Mitten Tree

Friday 12/12 – 3:15 – Deliver Mitten Tree Donations

Lunchtime Leaders

Lunchtime Leaders is a volunteer group for 4th graders who help out during the 1st & 2nd grade lunch period daily, on a rotating schedule.  Duties include helping in the lunchroom as needed, collecting garbage, recycling, and compost at the end of lunch, and being a friendly face to the 1st & 2nd graders.

The rotating schedule for Lunchtime Leaders will be created after the sign up deadline.

Sign up for both groups on the PTO Web Store.  There is NO FEE for these clubs.  The DEADLINE to sign up is FRIDAY  Sept. 19th.
