9/29 Lincoln Log

Hello Lincoln Families,
Happy first week of fall! I hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Things have here at Lincoln School-with the highlight, of course, being the author visit on Tuesday!  Thank you to Ms. Brauweiler for organizing this amazing opportunity for our kiddos! The morning started out with a meet and greet with author Karin Yan Glaser followed by an assembly for our third and fourth graders.  We are excited to share that we’ve got another surprise author visit planned for October 10th!
Say “Cheese”-Lincoln School Picture Day will be on Tuesday, October 1. It is always so fun to see the kiddos dressed up with smiles on their faces! Please remember to send in your Picture Day forms or sign-up online!

Halloween is just around the corner! As we gear up for our celebration on October 31, we wanted to share some important information about the day’s festivities.

  • 8:30 AM Kindergarten Character Parade (Park Ave. Playground)
  • 8:45 K-2 Storyteller Assembly in the Auditorium
  • 9:30 3-4 Storyteller Assembly in the Auditorium
  • 12:40 1st-4th Grade Character Parade (Franklin Playground)
  • Afternoon Classroom Parties

It’s hard to believe that Fall Family Conferences are coming up in just over a month! Our fall conferences will take place on Wednesday, November 6 and Thursday, November 7. The official conference sign-up will begin on October 10 at 7am. D90 will be sending an email with information as to how to sign-up for a convenient time for your family in the coming weeks.

Alas, the time has come to say farewell and Happy Retirement to Mr. Danno Mescolotto, our building engineer! For the past 15 years, Mr. Danno has worked tirelessly to create a warm, welcoming, and safe school. He’s literally the person who has made Lincoln run for the past fifteen years. Please join me in thanking him and celebrating his retirement.

Have a wonderful week! Please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or Christine if there is anything we can do to better support your family!

Best,
The CG’s
