It’s almost time……

The Lincoln PTO Web Store will be open for business on Thursday, August 18th at 7:00 am.  Sign Up Genius will open at the same time.

Web Store items include:

• Fun Lunch  (Grades 1 -4)
• FLIP (Grades 1-4, Foreign Language Introductory Program)
• 2nd Grade Bike Safety (choose 8/30 or 8/31)
• Theater Club (Grades 3 &4, after school the first Tuesday of every month, beginning 9/6)
• 4th Grade Fee
• 4th Grade Heartworks Club
• 4th Grade Lunchtime Leaders
• 4th Grade Eagle Eyes
• 2nd Grade Harmonica

You will need your students’ District 90 ID numbers to order on the Web Store. These 5-digit numbers are included on D90 registration emails and payment confirmation emails.

SignUp Genius items include:

• “One-Time” and “Ongoing” PTO volunteer roles such as Room Parent, Fun Lunch Volunteer, Class Photographer, Movie Night volunteer, etc.

Earbuds Required for All Students This Year

Attention ALL parents…

The ONLY students who will receive earbuds in the SchoolKidz Kits are the SECOND GRADE students.  All other kits will NOT have earbuds and parents will need to purchase and send them in with their students.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but the earbud requirement was added to the School Supply List after the kits were arranged with SchoolKidz.  The second grade teachers have had the earbud requirement for many years; it’s new for all other grades.   Remember that your Amazon Smile orders benefit our PTO; we’re listed as “Lincoln Parent-Teacher Organization of River Forest.”

If you did not order the School Supply Kits for your students back in April from the Schoolkidz website, then you will need to purchase classroom supplies.  The above link will take you to the Lincoln list on the D90 website.

Lincoln Summer Reading Club – August Meeting

When:  Saturday, August 13 at 10:00 am

Where:  River Forest Public Library

This club meeting is open to Lincoln students who will be entering 2nd-4th grades this fall.  Students should be ready to talk about the most recent summer book they finished (or will finish by that date), including a discussion about:

(1) A summary of the book;
(2) What scene or most exciting part they liked best;
(3) What character they liked best and why;
(4) What lesson(s) they drew from the book; and
(5) How they can apply that lesson to their lives.
