8/30 Lincoln log

Lincoln Families,

Welcome to the first week of school! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed our perfect weather. After last week’s heat wave, the final weekend of summer vacation couldn’t have been more lovely!  As surreal as it seems, round 2 of remote learning commences tomorrow!
It was so incredible to see our kids back on the Lincoln campus this past Thursday and Friday picking up their school supplies. It was my favorite day of work in over five months getting to see those mask covered faces back at Lincoln.

Everyone in D90 has been working tirelessly to make the kick off of this school year go as smoothly as possible. However, oftentimes even the best laid plans are wrought with unexpected obstacles and hiccups. While I feel we couldn’t have worked any harder in preparation for tomorrow, there will still likely be some hurdles to cross. Therefore, thank you in advance for your steadfast understanding,  patience and support.
As you’ll see in my morning message tomorrow, we’ve generated some common language for all Lincoln Eagles to refer to when engaging in learning from home. To the extent possible, please reinforce these with your kids: Lincoln’s Remote Learning Advice.

This year, I’m excited to continue celebrating our kids birthdays during our monthly, Principal Birthday Lunch! Although they will have to be reimagined and celebrated via ZOOM. This Thursday, I’m excited to celebrate all the Lincoln School August Birthdays. Below is the schedule we will use and the link to log into the Zoom Principal Birthday Lunch Celebration! I look forward to celebrating with our August Birthdays!  (September PBL will be celebrated on Thursday, September 10)

(Morning messages will be available on Seesaw at 8:00 each morning) As always, please never hesitate to reach out if there is anything more I can ever do to support your family.
Until we meet again, don’t forget to wear your mask, wash your hands and stay 6ft apart!
Welcome Back!
