This Friday will be the last Fun Lunch of the school year, and it will be offered FREE to all 1st-4th graders. Lunch will include one slice of pizza, a side of carrots, and Oreo cookies. Hungry kids or those who do not love cheese pizza are welcome to bring food from home.
Our thanks to Domino’s Pizza, 329 Chicago Ave., Oak Park, and to all our dedicated Fun Lunch Volunteers.
Did your child love Fun Lunch?
Would you like to make sure it continues?
This popular fundraiser needs volunteers to run…the PTO is still in need of a Pasta Co-Chair and a Subs Co-Chair for next year. If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to serve, we need you! Contact Nikki if interested: “njselza AT comcast.net”.
DONATE YOUR CHILD’S USED SCHOOL SUPPLIES!
Since 2009, Lincoln Parents have generously donated their children’s used school supplies. This year, Lincoln’s Green4Good Committee has made arrangements to donate the majority of the supplies to students in the Maywood/Melrose Park School District. Additionally, broken crayons will be donated to an organization called SCARCE to be melted down and remade into crayons for children with disabilities.
If you would like to donate your child’s used school supplies this year…DO NOTHING.
On or near the last day of school when the students clean out their desks, donated school supplies will be collected by the Green4Good Committee.
If you plan to reuse your supplies, that’s great.
Just email the following information to Laura Maychruk (lmaychruk AT comcast.net) by Monday, June 9th: your child’s name, grade, and teacher’s name. Your child’s teacher will be notified, and your child will bring his or her supplies home at the end of the year.

The Lincoln PTO is looking for volunteers for the 2014/15 school year.
We are fortunate to have a history of dedicated parents with diverse talents and interests on the PTO, and we need your ideas and expertise for next year.
Regardless of your schedule, there are rewarding and flexible PTO opportunities. Whether you can volunteer for a couple of hours or would like to chair a committee, we would love to have your help. Many parents initially join the PTO when they are new to the community and find that it’s a great way to make lasting friendships while contributing to their children’s school. Each year we begin with a new executive board and committee members and we promise you’ll have lots of fun as you help make Lincoln an outstanding place for students, teachers and families.
