2/21 Lincoln Log

Lincoln Families,

I hope you enjoyed the extended weekend with your kids. Although its still February there was definitely a touch of spring in the air this weekend. I took advantage of the extra day and made the trek to St. Louis for some quality time with friends and family.

Over the long weekend D90 converted our existing e-mail to Google Mail. In the unlikely event you sent an e-mail to a D90 employee and didn’t receive a response, you may wish to resend your message. Our new systems should be fully functional sometime this week.

During Tuesday’s teacher Institute Day, our staff engaged in professional development with the focus of examining different ways student groups can be configured to support equity of voice, participation, and collaboration. The afternoon session was focused on the implementation of technology in classrooms and beginning the process of becoming Apple certified educators.

Many thanks to our Connect 4 Kids Committee for hosting our 2nd annual Lincoln Book Talk facilitated by Dr. Cara Hurley. With over 25 people in attendance from across the district, we look forward to growing this event in the future.

Finally, don’t forget Parent/Teacher Conferences are schedule for Thursday, March 2 and Friday, March 3. We look forward to seeing you then.

I look forward to the return of your kids to school tomorrow. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out if there is anything I can do for you or your family. Have a great week. CG
