Fun Lunch REGISTRATION for Winter & Spring 2014!

The Fall Registration for Fun Lunch covers lunches through January 17th.  If your child wants to continue to receive Fun Lunch for the remainder of this school year, you must register again on the PTO Web Store.  Fun Lunch is the PTO’s biggest fundraiser, and a hands down favorite for both kids and parents!  Menu’s remain the same: Pasta from Puree’s, Subs from Alpine, Chicken Tenders from FatDuck Grill, and Pizza from the OP Domino’s.  The last day to register is next Friday, January 17th; but  you can do it today!

Winter Sports Camp starts TODAY.  We still have some openings for Tuesday’s Camp!

This is not your ordinary sports camp; this is an hour of fun PE games and a great opportunity for kids to run off energy indoors during the cold weather!   Legacy Sports is coaching this after-school program in the Lincoln Gym, and it’s just one month long.  See the PTO Web Store for all the details.

We still have a few openings for the Tuesday Camp, 3:15-4:15pm.  Any grade can register, so hop to the PTO Web Store now to sign up before it’s full!

Due to the cancellation of school on Tuesday, January 7th, we are trying to add Tuesday, Feb. 4th to the schedule, but must wait for confirmation from Legacy Sports and Lincoln regarding availability of coaches and the gym.  All Tuesday participants will be notified as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR ALL CAMP SESSIONS:  Pick up is at 4:15pm at the FRANKLIN doors.  These doors are locked…the Camp Supervisor will open doors for parents/guardians at 4:15pm.

Connect4Kids Parent Forum on  Thursday, Jan. 23rd

We welcome all parents and faculty of Lincoln, Willard and Roosevelt schools to please join us for the 3rd Parent Forum sponsored by Lincoln PTO:

“Cultivating Positive Athletic Experiences”

7:00 – 8:30pm in the Lincoln Auditorium (enter on the Franklin side)

Presented by Jim Bloch & Bob Pieper from The Team www.theteamleadership.org

Jim Bloch, a former athletic director at New Trier High School, and Bob Pieper, Department Chair for Health Education, Physical Education and head Football coach at Glenbrook North High School, are professional speakers/consultants with expertise in the athletic and leadership worlds. During their 90-minute talk they will share an important message: a successful journey with the sports experience is predicated on a shared partnership between the child, parent and coaches. You are invited to reflect on the experience you want for your child, get clear about why your choices matter, and be reminded it is about the children. We win some, we lose some…let’s put the joy back in youth sports!

The Team will outline the shared responsibility we all have in raising our kids, while encouraging us to provide healthy physical and mental first athletic experiences.  Please click TheTeamFlyer for inquiries & more information.

Bring a friend, invite a coach from the neighborhood; we hope to see you there!
