12/4 Lincoln PTO Newsletter

Lincoln Families,

I hope you had a great weekend. It’s hard to believe there are only 15 school days remaining in 2016!

As winter begins to embrace us, more and more families are utilizing the car drop off/pick up lanes. To better designate these areas, enforce safety expectations and expedite the drop off/pick up process we’ve ordered some new signage and street cones that will hopefully create a safer and more efficient drop off/pick up experience for our students and families. This signage should appear sometime in the coming days However, for your part, please remember:

  • Drop off/pick up zones on both Park and Franklin are NO PARKING areas
  • Students should only exit vehicles from the passenger side
  • Pull forward in the line and do not pass other cars in the line creating a third lane of traffic
  • Obey posted speed limit laws
  • No Cell-Phones permitted
  • Exercise patience and safety first
  • All walking students should only cross any street where a cross-walk is indicated

We will continue to partner with the River Forest police department to address any future student safety concerns.

I hope to see many of you at this week’s Town Hall Forum hosted by District 90! The Forum will be held on Tuesday, December 6 in the Roosevelt Middle School Auditorium, and will start at 7 p.m. The topic for the Forum is the Student Achievement Report and Standardized Assessment in District 90.

If you haven’t yet done so, please consider taking a few minutes to participate in the Illinois 4 Essentials survey. Your feedback will continue to help guide our efforts to continually improve our school.
