Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Please remember that Monday is our last day of school for the week. No school from Tuesday – Friday. Parent teacher conferences begin tonight and continue throughout the day on Tuesday.

The Holiday Shop Needs Your Help!

Lincoln’s Third Annual Holiday Shop will be held  Dec. 3rd through Dec. 5th from 3:10-4:00pm in the gym.   Students can buy presents for friends and family–all gifts are under $10!  Spirit wear and gift cards will also be available for purchase.  Proceeds benefit the PTO.

The holiday shop takes place right when we get back to school and we still have volunteer slots available each night!

Calling All Student Authors!

Submissions for Young Authors are due December 9 to your child’s teacher. 

Have fun showing off your talents. Submit an original (not a class assignment), brand new piece of writing including:

• Poetry
• Short Story
• Essay
• Graphic Novel
• Illustrated Story

Each submission should include a sturdy cover, title page, dedication page, and “about the author” page. 

You may also register for the Young Authors Conference through the District Web Store. The Conference will take place at Lincoln School from 8:30 to 11:30 on Saturday, January 25, 2014.

Registration is $5. Event fee includes refreshments and interactive workshops. Scholarships available upon request.

Don’t forget about our Wednesday Night Puree Pizza and Pasta Fundraiser!

You’ll definitely want to give yourself a break from your turkey prep the night before Thanksgiving. Remember that all delivery or pick up orders for Puree’s Pizza and Pasta, 1023 Lake Street in Oak Park on Wednesday nights and 10% of your order will be donated to the Lincoln PTO.
