Lincoln Families,
I hope you had a good weekend. It’s hard not to be caught up in the energy the Cubs playoff run has brought to town! In addition to watching the exciting games, I enjoyed a low-key, restful weekend in anticipation of running the Marine Corps Marathon this coming Sunday. Here is a glance ahead into what looks to be another busy week at Lincoln.
As part of our partnership with the River Forest Police Department, Officer Glen Czernik, Mrs. Kim Wojack and Ms. Linda Conway will present safety curriculum assemblies to all classes on Wednesday, October 18. Linked below are overviews of the K-2, 3rd and 4th grade topics. Additionally, next week we will practice bus safety, fire, lockdown, earthquake and severe weather emergency drills.

Our annual Fall Parties are less than two weeks away. Don’t forget to return the attached form indicating your preference for where your child will change into their costume for our Fall Parties on Tuesday, October 31. Feel free to either return this as an e-mail attachment to me or print it off and return.
I am looking forward to celebrating our October birthdays on Thursday at Principal Birthday Lunch.
If you’ve not yet signed up for a Parent Teacher Conference time, you may use this link to do so.
Finally, mark your calendar for Friday, November 10 @ 9:00 and our 2017 Veterans Day Assembly. Please encourage any family/friends who are veterans to attend. More information about Veterans Day will be forthcoming.
As always, please never hesitate to reach out if there is anything I can do to better support your kids/family. Thanks for your continued support of our Fine Fine School!
