11/4 Lincoln Log
I hope you had a great weekend and are all recovered from the festivities of last week. It was great seeing so many of you on Wednesday during our character parade and fall festivities. This year each class exercised their creativity and created a pumpkin to display in the Lincoln lobby. In the event you weren’t able to see them in person, here is a glimpse of the 2018 creations! I’m already excited to see what creativity awaits in 2019! The next two weeks are busy ones around our Fine Fine School. Information about this week’s Book Fair can be found below, and here is the parent/teacher conference schedule for this week:
As part of the recent Safe Routes to School/Safety Audit conducted in conjunction with the Village of River Forest, Village leadership is hopeful you’ll take a moment during conferences to participate in a brief survey. I will have copies of the survey available in the Park Ave. lobby during conferences on Wednesday and Thursday.
Upon returning from the fall conference break, on Monday, November 12, Lincoln School will pay tribute to our nation’s Veterans with our annual Veterans Day Assembly at 9:00. Please don’t forget to submit the the attached forms to the office by Wednesday, November 7 to help celebrate our annual Veterans Day Celebration. So we can best plan for seating, please RSVP for any family/friend Veteran who will be able to attend.
We are also still in search of a Veteran who might be willing to share a few simple remarks about their service. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
I look forward to seeing you around Lincoln in the coming days. Please never hesitate to reach out if there is anything more I can do to support your family. Thanks for your support of Lincoln. Have a wonderful week. CG
